RAMADAN 2025

Power Up Your Giving this Ramadan

Your Zakat and Sadaqah this Ramadan can give dignity over and over again.

Our Community Support Fund powers up your Ramadan giving to provide lasting economic empowerment and self-sufficiency.

Here’s just one example of how we’re helping worthy recipients take control of their lives and finances with a hand-up. Meet Shamim Banoo…

To date, we’ve disbursed £1,1 billion to 5,5 million needy families, changing the lives and futures of millions of people.

Be part of this empowerment journey by donating your Zakat and Sadaqah to help worthy recipients (borrowers) through our Community Support Fund.

Give Independence

This Ramadan, your Zakat and Sadaqah can fund ‘beautiful advances’. Akhuwat helps vulnerable people like widows and the disabled help themselves with a hand-up, not a hand-out. For just £100, you can help them gain livelihoods so they can earn a sustainable living. Click below to learn how so many have benefitted.

Donate Food Packs

Inflation and food scarcity have left many families facing hunger in Pakistan. Your Zakat and Sadaqah can provide Food Packs containing essential items which can feed a family all month for just £80. Our Ramadan Food Ration Project is tackling the rise in food poverty across Pakistan.

My Ten Nights

Schedule Your Zakat and Sadaqah donations to gain the rewards of giving on each of the last 10 nights. With My 10 Nights, you can do this in advance so you don’t have to worry about getting online on those days of devotion.

Success Stories

What if your Zakat could save a family from poverty, and then keep giving to others for years? Join Akhuwat to power up your giving this Ramadan.

‘For those who give in Charity, men and women, and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan, it shall be increased manifold [to their credit], and they shall have [besides] a liberal reward.’
(Holy Qur’an 57:18)

This Ramadan, Akhuwat is tackling poverty on three fronts:

FOOD - £75 food pack for a family of four

In Ramadan, the cost of food rises in Pakistan – even basic dhalls, rice, and tea – can’t withstand the exorbitant food inflation. Families struggle to feed themselves over the holy month. Parents may have to go hungry so their children can eat.

We provide food for families facing extreme food poverty so they don’t have to worry about affording essentials or rationing Suhoor to save some food for Iftar. Full tummies mean energy for longer to allow people to focus on the obligatory fasting and extra worship we all want to perform in Ramadan.

Our Ramadan Food Packs can feed a family of four for the whole month so that fasting Muslims have Iftar and Suhoor to look forward to, and sufficient nutrients to fast for the whole day.

QARD-E-HASANA - £100 sponsorship for widows and the disabled

We’re turning your Zakat into long-term sustainable help for widows and disabled people by granting them Shariah-approved advances (i.e. zero interest) through our Community Support Fund.

The people we support use the resources we advance to them to gain livelihoods and lift themselves out of poverty through their own hard work. Our recipients only pay back the capital amount they borrowed without additional charges. No one makes a profit off their hard work, but them.

£100 of your Sadaqah or Zakat can give a needy widow a sewing machine or a disabled person the means to start a small business.

LAST TEN NIGHTS – automated giving for your ease

Schedule Your Zakat and Sadaqah donations to gain the rewards of giving on each of the last 10 nights. With My 10 Nights, you can do this in advance so you don’t have to worry about getting online on those days of devotion. You can focus on your worship, secure in the knowledge that you are giving charity on the most holy days of the Islamic calendar.

Your Zakat and Sadaqah can make a real difference to people who need it most

People like Bashir Ahmed who lost his home in the devastating floods and had no means to rebuild it. But Akhuwat stepped in and granted him an advance via our Community Support Fund to rebuild his home. Bashir Ahmed is returning the advance in small monthly instalments, and he’s never missed any instalments! Listen to his story in his own words below.
